I am an office worker in Mukilteo and work irregular hours. The schedule of, and distance to, public transportation is not accessible. The trestle is not only the longest backup of my commute, but the most dangerous. It is impossible to see stopped traffic due to the straight nature of the trestle. Additionally, the architecture of the exits, east and west, is outdated. There are multiple lanes that are very lightly travelled and single exits that are congested on a daily basis. Simple changes to lane routing and even striping can alleviate the architecture problems. Additional routes across the slough are needed to prevent future accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
