The City remains committed to providing quality events and programs that support the economic welfare and engagement of the community of Lake Stevens.
There has been a lengthy discussion for options and strategy due to the rising COVID-19 rates and a possible outdoor mask mandate. The hard decision has been made to transition HarvestFest 2021 to a virtual event with activities promoted through the City's website and social media. There will be virtual activities that include ways for the community to participate in a contactless way. The Great Pumpkin will return this year and will be included as an in-person activity.
As an essential service, the Harvest Market returns to North Cove Park on Saturday, October 23, 11 am - 4 pm at North Cove Park. This market continues to provide a low-barrier entry point for beginning farmers, stimulates our local economy, and increases access to fresh, nutritious food that in turn, supports a healthy community. The City and Market Manager are working together to extend a portion of HarvestFest into an in-person activity during the Harvest Market.
The City understands that HarvestFest has been one of our highest attended events and is important for community outreach. The City thanks the Lake Stevens community for their continued support of both our local vendors and the City's ongoing efforts to keep our community safe, during these trying times.
More information on HarvestFest activities will be released in the next few weeks; stay informed on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and on the City's website.
