Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at Lake Stevens City Hall, Attn:
Kelly Chelin, 1812 Main Street, P.O. Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 until 10:00 A.M., local time, on June
15, 2023 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the due
date and time may not be considered. Bidders shall submit 1 Original of the bid proposal in a sealed
envelope labeled with the bidder’s name, address, request for bid number (22024) and title (City of Lake
Stevens – Sunset Beach Park Improvements).
The project consists of constructing improvements to Sunset Beach Park, including cement concrete
pathways, foundations for shade structures, site furnishings, picnicking/seating pad, portable restroom
enclosure, landscaping, bioretention planter, and asphalt parking area. The project will take place at 410
East Lake Stevens Road within the City of Lake Stevens. An optional pre-bid site walk will be held on June
6, 2023 at 10:00 A.M.
The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $450,000. Please address any comments and questions you may

hereafter, “RFB” will be taken via email until June 13, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. All questions and responses will
be posted to the project website on Builder’s Exchange of Washington (BXWA) on June 14, 2023 by 3:00 P.M.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with an authorized surety
company as surety) made payable to the City of Lake Stevens in an amount not less than five percent (5%)
of the bid amount. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid proposal deposit.
The City of Lake Stevens reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any immaterial
irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour
set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of
sixty (60) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest
of the City.

provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on

from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that
Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place
themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically
notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this
