Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at Lake Stevens City Hall, Attn: Kelly Chelin, 1812 Main Street, P.O. Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 until 10:00 A.M., local time, on Wednesday June 21, 2023 [PN1] at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the due date and time may not be considered. Bidders shall submit 1 Original of the bid proposal in a sealed envelope labeled with the bidder’s name, address, request for bid number (21006) and title (City of Lake Stevens – ADA Improvements Project).
The project consists of improving ADA facilities at various locations within the City of Lake Stevens, including demolition and construction of ADA ramps, pavement markings, permanent signing, utility adjustments, temporary traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The project will take place along eight road segments within the City of Lake Stevens.
The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $730,000. Please address any comments and questions you may have to Whitney Ojalehto at . All questions and responses will be posted to the project website on Builder’s Exchange of Washington (BXWA) on June 20, 2023 by 1:00 P.M.
The City intends to award this project at the June 27, 2023 City Council Meeting. Notice to proceed is anticipated to be issued the week of July 10, 2023. This project shall be substantially complete by September 15, 2023.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Lake Stevens in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid proposal deposit.
The City of Lake Stevens reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any immaterial irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of sixty (60) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
