City staff observed algae in Lake Stevens at Davies Beach and Lundeen Beach on November 12, 2025. While the city investigates, we have posted Toxic Algae Signs at the public beaches warning the public about this potential occurrence.
We want to reiterate that we do not have confirmation if the algae observed yesterday contains toxins but want to be overly cautious until we know more.
