Westbound US 2 will close between State Route 9 (milepost 5) and SR 204 (milepost 2) in Lake Stevens overnight Friday, April 12, for bridge maintenance.
The closure includes:
• 8 p.m. Friday, April 12 to 6 a.m. Saturday, April 13.
• All lanes on westbound US 2 between SR 9 and SR 204.
• A signed detour will have people on westbound US 2 exit at northbound SR 9, then exit SR 9 at westbound SR 204, and finally exit SR 204 back to westbound US 2.
• A second signed detour will be in place for people on southbound SR 9 intending to travel on westbound US 2. Drivers will exit SR 9 at eastbound US 2, turn around at 88th Street Southeast and then follow the first detour.
During the closure, the Washington State Department of Transportation bridges crews will work on various bridge deck repairs.
People should plan ahead and use the designated detour during the closure.
