As an update to the recent notification, the City of Lake Stevens delivered a water sample to the King County laboratory for testing to determine if toxic substances were present from the blue-green algae observed on April 16.
We are pleased to know that NO TOXINS were present in the lake water sampled. Our notification signs will stay up this weekend, but we feel there is only a low likelihood that the bloom will recur. To our knowledge, Lake Stevens is safe for recreation.
