A recent inspection of the bridge over Catherine Creek on 36th Street NE shows deterioration on the northeast corner of the bridge. As a precautionary measure, the city closed the westbound lane over the bridge restricting access over the bridge to one lane until the bridge can be replaced. Due to permitting, replacement of the bridge is anticipated to take several years. Permanent traffic revision signs are installed at the bridge to reduce traffic over the bridge to one lane. The bridge will also be restricted to a 15-ton load limit for the time being. The bridge continues to be inspected regularly.
