New Code Amendment for Solicitor Licenses Passed

On June 25, City Council passed a code amendment relating to solicitors, peddlers, and canvassers working within the city. Ordinance 1185 aims to both streamline the existing code and enhance the safety of the public by allowing the city to conduct nationwide background checks on all applicants.

As a reminder, all solicitors are required to display their city-issued badge at all times while soliciting. Solicitors are also required to respect and adhere to “No Soliciting” signs posted by a home or business.
