Interested in how the city is planning for growth over the next 20 years, during which time the city is projected to add approximately 7,000 new residents, 4,000 new housing units, and 2,500 new jobs?
The Draft 2024 Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review, in advance of public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council later this year (as required by state law). The plan covers a wide variety of topics including land use, housing, transportation, parks, natural resources, utilities, economic development and capital facilities, and provides a roadmap for how Lake Stevens will grow and develop through 2044.
Both written comments and oral testimony are welcome in advance of the public hearings, with the Planning Commission scheduled to accept public comments at their Monday, August 19, 2024, meeting. For more information on the project and how to submit your feedback, please visit the project website.
