Once PUD installs and approves the vault lids, the contractor will pour the remaining sidewalk sections. In the coming weeks, the construction crew will continue with sidewalk pours, final concrete, and landscaping. 

At this stage, the city has completed all tasks within its control. The utility companies must perform their work before the project can be finalized. Significant progress has been made, and completion is anticipated to be by the end of the year, leading to a renovated and improved downtown area for all residents and visitors to enjoy!

As a city and community, Lake Stevens is growing and expanding.  The City of Lake Stevens is embarking on a comprehensive project to improve the Main Street infrastructure near North Cove Park — including new curb, gutter, planters, a multi-use path, an improved sidewalk, along with much needed utilities upgrades. With urban design improvements aimed at uplifting the downtown atmosphere, the City’s mission is to create an inviting, sustainable, and vibrant city center.
