Lake Stevens Community Resource Center (LSCRC)

8021 20th Street SW #A102, Lake Stevens I 425-405-2252 I lakestevenscrc@voaww.org

  • Served over 1,200 households and 3,200 individuals, marking an increase of about 300 households and 500 individuals over 2023. Their support services have grown to include: securing livable wage jobs, utility and rental assistance, housing support, and support groups.
  • Distributed over 360 backpacks filled with school supplies to Lake Stevens families. The event brought together families, volunteers, and over twenty community resources. All attendees received a complimentary lunch, thanks to a partnership with the Lake Stevens Food Bank.
  • Served over 400 children within Lake Stevens during the holiday season. Their commitment to providing not only essential community support but also bringing the magic of Christmas to children and families in need. With only a staff of five people, they are managing a significant influx of client calls and intakes while coordinating toy drives and distributions.
  • LSCRC’s success story: At 16 years old, Hailey joined their Teen Parenting Group, bringing her immense courage and determination. A year and a half later, she graduated from high school on the honor roll. After graduation, she was hired as the LSCRC’s Administrative Assistant, and has gained the skills necessary to grow, thrive, and financially provide for herself and her child. Her story is a testament to the power of community support, and LSCRC is honored to be a part of her journey.

The book offers early history of the area that has not been published. The Historical Society held an Author Talk community event in June at their General Meeting.
  • With the help of the newly formed Lake Stevens Garden Club, the Historical Society continued adding to the Grimm House garden. With community donations, they planted new trees, shrubs, and flowers and plan to continue the work in spring.
