Welcome to the city's new informational page, Splash! This will replace the Week's Wrap Up, but don't worry, we will continue letting you know what's going on around the lake. Check back weekly for new updates.

City Council

  • At the January 7, 2025, Council meeting, elections were held. Councilmember Ryan Donoghue was elected Council President and Councilmember Kymm Shipman was elected Council Vice President.  These terms are for one year. We look forward to their continued service to the City of Lake Stevens.

Human Resources

Planning and Community Development

  • The city participated in a year-long pilot project with Community Transit to develop a Community Working Group comprised of community representatives. The Zip Shuttle program, launched in late 2024 and is active throughout the city's service area for $2.50 or less. Riders 18 and younger ride for free! Since opening, Lake Stevens Zip Shuttle has provided 681 rides. In 2025, ridership has picked up and is doing 50+ rides per day. Information and Technology

  • The city has eight Panasonic CF-54 laptops available to purchase. The online auction opened Tuesday, January 14, 2025, and will close Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Visit the link for more information and to bid: https://municibid.com/Browse?Seller=CoLS-ITD

Police Department

  • Join the Lake Stevens Police Department for their annual Polar Plunge, on Sunday, February 23, 2025. This is a fun and fast jump into the lake to raise money for Special Olympics Washington. There is a registration fee to join the team, and proceeds benefit Special Olympics Washington. For more information, visit: https://lakestevenswa.gov/585/Polar-Plunge
