Mayor's Office

  • On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, and Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, community members are invited to join Mayor Brett Gailey at the Starbucks (next to MOD Pizza) at Frontier Village in Lake Stevens. Bring your questions or comments and chat over your favorite beverage with the Mayor. It’s a casual setting that provides the perfect opportunity to get to know your Mayor while discussing City-related topics that are important to you.
  • Interested in the city’s 2024 accomplishments and what our goals are for 2025? Mayor Brett Gailey will give the State of the City address at the April 15th City Council meeting. The Mill doors will open at 5:30 pm, with the presentation starting at 6:00 pm. This event is open to the public and will be live streamed through YouTube, similar to city council meetings. Busy on the 15th? Don’t worry, you can access the State of the City address any time after the presentation on the city’s YouTube channel.

Human Resources

Public Works

  • The City is prioritizing pedestrian safety and vehicle speed, by launching a pilot project to turn 117th/116th Avenue NE into a one-way couplet, with one lane of the existing road turned into a pedestrian path. This will not only create a safe path for pedestrians but will also help slow vehicle speed. This pilot project will be a month trial to see if this is a viable solution. Interested in learning more? The city is hosting two open houses to provide residents a chance to directly speak with the city and consultants. First Open House is Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, at The Mill. Second Open House is Monday, April 14, 2025, from 2:30 to 6:30 pm, at the corner of 116th Avenue NE and 25th Street NE. For more information, visit the project webpage: https://tinyurl.com/117th116th
  • It's that time of the year! In partnership with Waste Management, the free Community Cleanup Event is happening Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9 am - 1 pm at Cavelero Mid-High School. Please contact Public Works at 425-622-9403 if you have questions. View the flyer below for details!
  • We want to hear from you! Partnering with the Snohomish Conservation District, the city has created a space to engage with residents about Lake Stevens' water quality.
