Mayor's Office
- At the April 15, 2025, city council meeting, Mayor Brett Gailey presented the State of the City address. He discussed the city’s 2024 accomplishments, including APWA accreditation and the opening of West Lake Park. He talked about our goals for 2025, including capital projects and the new city hall campus. Mayor Gailey also took time to thank our community partners whose contributions and collaborations help support our residents and quality of life. As the city continues to grow, we will strive to continue to make Lake Stevens a great place for our residents to live, work, and play. - The city is hiring Police Officers to fill current vacancies and have an expedited hiring process for entry level, entry level advanced, and lateral officers. - The city is hiring a Community Service Officer. The position will provide a wide range of police services including but not limited to investigating and enforcing animal complaints, providing traffic control at city events or incidents, crime prevention and community interaction, assisting the public information officer with social media engagements and posts on department accounts, providing assistance to park users, and ensuring park rules and regulations are followed. - The city is hiring a Parks Maintenance Lead. - Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue (SRFR) is conducting training exercises in the Davies Beach area on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The training will not interfere with boat launch access or with beach goers.
- Playground communication boards will be installed at three playgrounds. The community is invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony next Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 4:30 pm at Lundeen Park.
