Mayor's Office
- At the April 15, 2025, city council meeting, Mayor Brett Gailey presented the State of the City address. He discussed the city’s 2024 accomplishments, including APWA accreditation and the opening of West Lake Park. He talked about our goals for 2025, including capital projects and the new city hall campus. Mayor Gailey also took time to thank our community partners whose contributions and collaborations help support our residents and quality of life. As the city continues to grow, we will strive to continue to make Lake Stevens a great place for our residents to live, work, and play. - The city is hiring Police Officers to fill current vacancies and have an expedited hiring process for entry level, entry level advanced, and lateral officers. - The city is hiring a Parks Maintenance Worker. This position performs a variety of work involving the operation, maintenance, and construction of public parks and facilities, which include buildings, structures, grounds, trails, parking lots, playgrounds, sports courts/fields, boat ramps, and docks. Incumbents ensure that parks and open spaces are clean, safe, and enjoyable for the public.
