Public Works
- Did you know there are three separate projects happening in downtown Lake Stevens? This is why you may have noticed different construction crews and timelines.
Let’s break down the projects: 1. Lake Stevens Sewer District completed the gravity main portion of their work downtown earlier this year. They are currently finalizing the design and final construction of the force main portion of the project with upgrades along 20th Street NE. 2. City of Lake Stevens streetscape and road improvement project. The fresh asphalt you may have seen cut is to install decorative crosswalks. This is one of the final steps before completion. Visit https://www.lakestevenswa.gov/655/Main-Street-Improvements for more information. Lake Stevens Sewer District is upgrading a sewer pump station on 20th Street NE and should finish their 20th Street NE infrastructure work soon. Contact the Lake Stevens Sewer District for project updates. Thanks for your patience as these projects wrap up. The end result will be a much-improved downtown for everyone to enjoy.

- Stormwater facility inspections are underway! Help us keep you informed about your stormwater facilities. The city's Environmental Programs team is building a public-facing page to share facility health and maintenance information for stormwater systems in our community. In this first phase, we are collecting up-to-date contact information for Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and private developments responsible for facility maintenance. If you manage or represent a development or HOA, please provide your contact details. This ensures you will receive timely updates about inspections and facility health; maintenance guidance and resources; and notifications about issues that may affect your property. Working together, we can help protect our local waterways and ensure stormwater systems are functioning as intended.
