Mayor's Office

  • On Monday, November 10, 2025, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, and Monday, November 24, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, community members are invited to join Mayor Brett Gailey at the Starbucks (next to MOD Pizza) at Frontier Village in Lake Stevens. Bring your questions or comments and chat over your favorite beverage with the Mayor. It’s a casual setting that provides the perfect opportunity to get to know your Mayor while discussing City-related topics that are important to you.
  • Thank you to all who attended the Town Hall: Public Engagement Night on October 6, 2025! We had an incredible turn out with lots of great questions and discussions. The more we learn about what is important to our citizens the better we are able to provide services. Together we make Lake Stevens a great place to live, work and thrive. To view the presentations, please visit: https://lakestevenswa.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1012

Municipal Services

  • The City of Lake Stevens is seeking to fill a vacancy on:  PLANNING COMMISSION – ONE MID-TERM VACANCY with a term expiring 12/31/2027. Deadline to apply is Friday, November 21, 2025. Interested in learning more? Visit:  https://lakestevenswa.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1016

Public Works

  • The City of Lake Stevens is seeking your help to improve local knowledge about drainages, streams, and the wild places of Lake Stevens so we can better plan for the future. Our Environmental Programs Division of Public Works is preparing a plan that will, in part, improve water quality and available fish habitat to support salmon. We are basing this on a fish habitat model that needs input by citizens who are aware of drainage issues or have concerns about certain streams. For more information, visit: https://lakestevenswa.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1020

  • Falling leaves are here, and the city needs your help to keep the storm drains clear to prevent localized flooding and pollution entering our lake. Leaves and other debris cover the storm drain and prevent rainwater from flowing into the drain. Please take a moment to locate the drain closest to your house and move the leaves away from the drain. Please compost, bag or dispose of the leaves in a green waste bin to prevent them from moving back over the drain.

  • Do you love Lake Stevens? If so, take the pledge to protect! Join your neighbors in keeping our lake clean and healthy. Small actions at home make a big difference for water quality and wildlife habitats. To learn more and to take the pledge, visit: https://lakestevenswa.civilspace.io/en/projects/i-love-lake-pledge-to-protect-and-toolkit Everyone who pledges gets a free sticker, and a few lucky storytellers will also receive an “I Love Lake” yard sign!

  • Stormwater facility inspections are underway! Help us keep you informed about your stormwater facilities. The city's Environmental Programs team is building a public-facing page to share facility health and maintenance information for stormwater systems in our community. In this first phase, we are collecting up-to-date contact information for Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and private developments responsible for facility maintenance. This ensures you will receive timely updates about inspections and facility health; maintenance guidance and resources; and notifications about issues that may affect your property. Submit your contact information today at: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/4f55592a27984c80a6cb46a05a237d42/ For more project information, visit: https://lakestevenswa.civilspace.io/en/projects/public-stormwater-page

Planning and Community Development

Police Department

  • The LSPD is forming a community partnership where all residents and businesses with cameras on their property, if interested, can register them with our department. Participation in this partnership is completely voluntary.  All registered information will be protected but may be subject to public disclosure by state law. The LSPD will not have direct access to your cameras. If you find that you do have relevant footage, you will be provided a link to upload it directly to our evidence system. If you are interested in participating in this community partnership or want to learn more about the program, please visit our webpage https://lakestevenswa.gov/765/Register-a-Camera
  • Unused medications in the home are a primary source for drug abuse. Do you know how to get rid of old medicine safely? It’s not secure in the trash, and you should never flush them down the toilet. LSPD now has a safe, easy way to dispose of unwanted medications. Stop by the police department at 1825 South Lake Stevens Road and look for the green box about the size of a trash can inside the lobby. The rest is easy and best of all, it’s free! Let's make our community safer together. The LSPD lobby is open Monday through Friday from 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm.
  • The LSPD has partnered with SNO911 to enhance safety for Private Schools and Daycares within the City of Lake Stevens. Through this partnership, facilities can now receive Rave Alerts for nearby police activity. These alerts can help schools and daycares make informed decisions about activating their emergency lockdown procedures based on real-time information. Private Schools and Daycares can sign up by scanning the QR code or visiting: https://tinyurl.com/3zn2rc3y
