Celebrate the mystique of ancient Viking traditions and the spirit of modern-day Lake Stevens High School Vikings at Going A Viking, Saturday, September 20, 2025, 11 am - 6 pm, at Lundeen Park.
This event is free to attend:
- Engage in axe-throwing contests to claim the mantle of Defender of Lake Stevens. Visit the registration website to sign up for the competition; early bird pricing through August 23.
- Immerse yourself in Living History Exhibits showcasing dwellings, weaponry, and craftsmanship.
- Encounter the valiant members of LSHS Viking clubs and sports teams.
- Embark on interactive escapades like shield formations, games, and themed revelries.
Come try your hand at axe throwing at this event for the chance to be named the Defender of Lake Stevens:
- The top 16 scores qualify for the 5 PM finals to determine who will take home the trophy and bragging rights as the Defender of Lake Stevens.
- Purchasing a ticket gives you priority access for throwing time between 11 AM and 5 PM instead of waiting in the general admission line.
Proceeds from this event help fund this event and other awesome City events like HarvestFest on Halloween, WinterFest in December, the Great Egg Hunt at the Cove in April 2026, and Gaming by the Lake in May 2026.
To purchase a ticket for the axe-throwing contest (axe-throwing participants must be 18+):
