The City is working to improve the safety of children walking to school. Lake Stevens is applying for a Safe Routes to School grant to help fund permanent safety improvements. 

As an interim step, you will see raised white lane deflectors and curbs installed along the east side of 91st Avenue SE, between 4th Street SE and 8th Street SE, to clearly mark the walking lane.
