The City is seeking volunteers to write Pro and Con statements for the November 8, 2022 General Election voters pamphlet.
- Members should be available to work together to draft these statements.
- Based on deadlines set by the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, the names of each committee member must be submitted to the County by August 2.
- Statements are due by August 12. Pro/con rebuttals are due August 17.
- Each committee can consist of 3 members but can also ask the advice of other individuals.

On July 12, 2022, the Lake Stevens City Council passed a Resolution 2022-10 to submit a Ballot Proposition for the November 8, 2022 General Election, requesting authorization of a 0.2% Sales & Use Tax to Finance Transportation Improvements. The ballot title will read as follows:

(LAKE STEVENS TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT)
PROPOSITION 1 SALES AND USE TAX FOR STREET, SIDEWALK, WALKWAYS, AND TRAIL CONSTRUCTION AND
STREET PRESERVATION IMPROVEMENTS
If approved, this proposition would authorize a sales and use tax of 0.2% within the City pursuant to RCW 82.14.0455, for a term of 10 years, to pay for costs, and repay indebtedness issued from time to time to construct, repair, and maintain streets, sidewalks, walkways, and trail improvements in the City to improve transportation and pedestrian access and safety.
