What new transportation services would work well for people in Lake Stevens, Arlington, and Darrington?
Community Transit is working with city leaders and community working groups in each of these jurisdictions to design and test new travel options through its Innovative Services program. Innovative Services focuses on partnering with local communities to test new transportation solutions to give people more public transit options and improve their quality of life.
The first step is to survey community members to understand their transportation needs. Survey results will help those groups develop options that will lead to pilot projects. These pilots may serve as a vital connection to existing transit, providing access closer to people's homes and destinations, and help expand access to transit for more communities. Community Transit’s first pilot project, Zip Alderwood Shuttle, is currently underway in Lynnwood. Zip is an on-demand ride service for travel anywhere within the Alderwood service area for the same price as local bus fare.
The survey is open now through April 30 and is available in English and Spanish. Survey participants will be entered into a drawing to win a $150 gift card.
