Biography

Sabina Araya is a longtime Lake Stevens resident, a mother of two, and a dedicated public servant with nearly 20 years of experience in local government. Her work has centered on strengthening public systems and helping organizations function more effectively for the people they serve. 
 
 With experience spanning transportation, operations, planning, and government leadership, Sabina is known for approaching complex challenges with care, clarity, and a strong sense of responsibility. She values thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, and decisions that are grounded in both data and real-world impact.
 Sabina holds an MBA from Columbia College and a BA in International Studies and English from the University of Washington. She is a graduate of Leadership Snohomish County and is active in her faith and local community, where she draws purpose and perspective.

 Whether working on policy matters, supporting teams, or engaging with residents, Sabina approaches public service with a focus on listening well and leading with integrity. Her commitment to Lake Stevens is rooted in a desire to see the community continue to grow in a healthy and sustainable way.
