Biography
Brian McManus grew up in Boston, Massachusetts before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1987 for work. In 2005, Brian and his wife Jill settled in Lake Stevens to raise their son and two daughters in this scenic lakeside town. A dedicated volunteer, Brian has served as a Salary Commissioner and, most recently prior to joining City Council, as a Civil Service Commissioner since 2021.
Brian is well known for his expertise in Federal Procurement law and serves as a Senior Analyst for the annual Federal budget, currently working for Amazon Business. He is also President of the North Sound Police Foundation Board and a Board Member for The Coalition for Government Procurement in Washington, D.C. Alongside Jill, Brian co-owns Lake Stevens Brewing Company, which enables them to donate thousands of dollars each year to community initiatives and youth sports programs.
Brian and Jill love camping, attending live music events, and spending quality time with their growing family, which includes a granddaughter and a grandson expected in June 2026. Family and community are central to Brian’s life, and he is eager to serve his neighbors as a member of City Council.
