Disasters happen everywhere. Lake Stevens is no exception to the threat of emergencies and critical events. We know that while we cannot control forces of nature or eliminate human error, we can prepare to meet disasters with force and mitigate their impact.
Part of our strategic effort involves local, state, and federal partnerships in preparedness. It is through these important alliances that we learn from the experience of others and share our lessons learned.
The City of Lake Stevens established the Emergency Management Team united with a partnership with the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management to provide preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery.
In addition, we have established partnerships with the following agencies that will play a vital role in the response to a disaster in our area.
- All City of Lake Stevens Departments
- Lake Stevens School District
- Lake Stevens Sewer District
- Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management
- Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue
- Snohomish County PUD
- Washington State Department of Transportation
- Marysville Emergency Management Department
- Other private and nonprofit partners
