Odor Complaint
Odor complaints are handled jointly between Code Enforcement and the Lake Stevens Police Department. The Puget Clean Air Agency has trained officers to respond to local odor complaints. It is essential to report odor complaints as soon as possible. Odor complaints can be challenging to investigate due to the duration of odor and weather conditions. Documenting odor issues immediately helps staff identify the source of an odor violation and recommend corrective actions for any continuing issues.
If you are experiencing a pervasive noxious or nuisance odor, call the LAKE STEVENS POLICE DEPARTMENT AT 9-1-1 immediately to register odor complaints.
After reporting the violation, please submit a complaint at the Code Enforcement Portal.
Noise Complaint
To report a violation, call the Lake Stevens Police Department's non-emergency number at (425) 334-9537. Only in an emergency should you call 911.
Land Use Violation (Potential Critical Area, NGPA, Shoreline, Boundary/Property Line Infraction)
Please contact our code enforcement staff immediately if you observe what you believe to be a violation of regulations related to critical areas, NGPAs, shoreline, or boundary/property line infringements. You can also file a complaint through the Code Enforcement Portal (you will need to create an account if this is your first time).
